Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Dynamic Yoga
Kristy is a yoga teacher, traveller and PE & Dance teacher. She offers Vinyasa Flow, Power and Yin Yoga classes to meet the changing and unique desires of your emotional and physical state.
Movement has always played a significant role in Kristy’s life. She was a dedicated artistic gymnast for 15 years, which led fluidly into trampolining. Once the competitive days were behind her, she continued to share her passion for both through coaching children. Kristy has been working as a PE teacher at Kenton School since 2008.
No longer getting her movement fix from gymnastics or trampolining, Kristy explored different sports and fitness trends but nothing hit the spot quite like yoga. It was far from love at first sight…or Om, but she persevered until she found a teacher and style that she really connected with. In 2014, Kristy had the privilege of being taught by some very wise, experienced yogis in various ashrams around India. From there Kristy took her yoga mat around the world on her 2 yearlong adventures. While living in Queenstown, NZ she trained with the inspirational international yoga teacher Nianna Rose Bray in conjunction with Yoga Nadi completing the 200Hr YTT course specialising in Vinyasa Flow. Kristy loves to practice flowing sequences, deep hip openers to release tension and learning to fly with playful arm balances.
“Yoga found me at a time when I was looking for answers in a world that did not make sense I practice yoga as it provides moments of stillness during times of chaos and helps to keep me grounded and open minded. Simply connecting breath with movement brings the mind and body together as one, and when you really feel that, it’s euphoric. The fitness gains and adaptations to the physical body are bonus by-products to something much greater. I love to teach my knowledge of yoga as it can help people in endless ways, and it is beautiful to observe everyone’s unique journey.”
Kristy delivers classes and workshops, or can bring the flow to you with personalised one to one or small group sessions.
